The first day of spring is here. The snow won’t be around much longer. It’s time for spring checkups, heartworm and fecal testing. We recommend year round heartworm prevention. The recommendation comes from the Council of Parasite Control of Companion Animals. The reason they make this recommendation is because every month when you give the Heartgard Plus you are also giving a broad spectrum dewormer. Some of these worms are zoonotic, meaning they can be passed to people. So for the pet’s health, and your health, we now recommend you use Heartgard Plus year round. Fleas and ticks will be emerging soon as well, so getting the Frontline Plus applied to your pet before they are exposed is the key to keeping them healthy. Doctors Pierce Fleming, Deb Cameron, Rachel Stephensen, Robyn Corcoran, Brodie Owens and Terry Christensen are here for all your veterinary needs. Give us a call to set up your appointment and ask us about current promotions for Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus now.
