Dr. Fleming and the Staff have always been so kind to our Dogs. Chico had Surgery a week ago today and has had to have his bandage changed every day. Dr. Fleming has come in 3 times on his day's off to do this for us...I would NEVER go anywhere else! The Staff is the BEST and the Doctors are THE BEST!....Thank you for being so kind caring and compassionate!!

Meet the Veterinarians of Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital, Minnesota.

Dr. Pierce Fleming

Dr. Pierce Fleming

Dr. Fleming graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1978. He has been with Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital since 1980 (see history). Dr. Fleming was the president of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association from 2001-2002 and received its Veterinarian of the Year Award the following year. His specialty interests include surgery and alternative medicine; he is certified in acupuncture and animal chiropractic.

He lives in Golden Valley with his wife, Sue, and their two cats and two dogs. They have two adult children as well, Sam and Alice. Dr. Fleming’s hobbies include reading, computers, golfing, biking and getting away from the phone.

Dr. Rachel Preston Stephensen

Dr. Stephensen graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 2002. She spent three years practicing small animal medicine at a practice near Indianapolis, Indiana. She completed pet acupuncture certification with IVAS in 2004 and joined Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital in September 2005.

Since starting work at Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital, Dr. Stephensen completed an intensive course in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (animal chiropractic) at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center. Her special interests include complementary therapies, senior care, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of  work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, photography, scrap-booking, music, skiing, and yoga (among many other things!). Dr. Stephensen, her husband, Chris, and son, Jacob, live in Minneapolis with their their cat and three dogs.

Dr. Brodie Owens

Dr Brodie Owens graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  For the past 10+ years, she has worked at a small animal hospital in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.  Dr Brodie Owens grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and lived in San Francisco California before moving to Minnesota.  Her interests in veterinary medicine include dentistry, surgery and pain management.

Dr Brodie Owens lives in Plymouth with her husband Marty and daughters Ainsley and Lindsey.  They share their home with their chocolate Labradors, Lewis and Clark.  In her free time Brodie enjoys biking, skiing and reading.

Dr. Deb Cameron

Dr. Deb Cameron

Dr. Cameron grew up locally, in Crystal and Plymouth. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 1993, and earned her graduate degree from the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Her special interests include feline medicine and small animal pain management.

Dr. Cameron has been associated with Pet Haven and involved in fostering and re-homing cats and kittens for fifteen years. She has two dogs, too many (but wouldn't part with any) cats and most often a hamster or three. She enjoys long walks with the dogs, reading, and spending time at the family cabin.

Dr. Robyn Corcoran

Dr. Robyn Corcoran

Dr. Corcoran graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and joined Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital in 2011. In 2010, after a vigorous two year credentialing and examination process, she was awarded Diplomate status through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a board certified specialist in canine and feline practice. Her special interest is in internal medicine, with a particular enjoyment of endocrinology cases. Dr. Corcoran is actively involved with the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps, a volunteer organization of veterinary professionals trained to provide medical assistance to animals during times of disaster.

She enjoys spending her free time training and competing in dog agility with her two dogs Risk and Bailey, and has a love for cooking. Dr. Corcoran lives in Cottage Grove with her husband, Tim, and son Jacob.

Dr. Terry L. Christensen

Dr. Christensen graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. Originally from Wisconsin, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. In 2000, he started At Home Vet Care, providing veterinary care for dogs and cats in their home environment.

Living in Maple Grove with his wife Teresa and their cat, Dave, Dr. Christensen spends his free time fishing for muskie - if the Vikings aren't playing.
